  1. Looks like a case of loose bladder/bowl.

Apart from altering his/her diet i don't think there is that much you can do

  2. Before you start any 'corrective' training, you need to eliminate (no pun intended) any possible health issue.  Suggest you get him checked out by a vet - take a pee/pooh sample with you to avoid messing around outside the vet's office!  This does sound like a stress thing, so think about whether there's anything in his life that might be causing this?

As for the smell - I'm forever chasing this issue (we rent!), and have found it's best to go for the various elimination sprays (as opposed to the mask type) such as (UK) Oust - after you have had a darned good clean up, carpet shampoo (or removal?) of course.

Hope he gets a clear health check.

  3. Ive never experienced a dog gone rebelliouss all of a sudden. :) to take the smell off. use hard bleaching agents such as clorox it will also prevent your dog to do his thing on that spot were you splash it. ive used it a thousand times and its pretty effective.

and with regards to his behavior, maybe his seeking more attention by doing that. maybe he likes you to take him out for a walk. dogs are kinda dominant in their own way. they really surprise you.

  4. Stick its head into the poo and p**s everytime he does it and he will soon learn manners my friend

  5. Any sudden change in habits needs a visit to the vet  to rule out any physical cause. Dogs don't suddenly change without a reason.

If there is no physical cause, go back to basics & confine your dog to a small area. Clean up any mess with a biological cleaner which is the most effective way of getting rid of the smell.

  6. it could be that your dog is stressed because often this may happen if the animal is worried about something. it could also be because it has a problem with its bowls. in which case you need to take it to a vet. they with tell you exactly what to do to stop this problem. it may be you need to change its diet. but if you are worried i would take it to the vet just to be sure but you could try other options first.

about the smell. in my experience you need to clean it up as fast as you can so as soon as you see it. then if there is still smell get some sent of some sort whatever you like and mix it with water because it will last longer and shouldn't stain the carpet or floor, try to choose something without a coloring. then just spray some over the area and this should reduce the smell hopefully. but make sure it isnt toxic for the dog that is really important you use something that is natural and cannot harm the dog.hope this helps.

  7. Yeah, put it outside!

  8. As he has been OK till now and this has suddenly started,it appears to be a veterinary problem--healthwise.

Zoflora disinfectant is good for getting rid of the mess and smell.

  9. You need to thinkis there anything that has changed? Have you changed the time of her last walk? is she eating different food. Maybe shes doing it for attention? It could just be that shes not 100% at the moment

  10. Sudden change in habits , first thing take your dog to the vet. if there is no physiological reason for the change then stage 2.

Make a note of the changes that have happened in your house. Have you moved? Has anyone moved in or out? Has the emotional atmosphere changed in your house? Have you had dogs visit your house, in particular females?  If your dog is not neutered and a female dog visits your house he will mark his territory; it's just what they do.

Answer all those questions and you may have your answer.

    Then move to stage 3;

As to changing his behavior  - the first thing to do is to clean your house with a biological detergent apparently this breaks down the enzymes in the pee so he cannot smell it again and it's properly clean.  You can also buy a proprietary dog wee cleaner.   Apparently a dog will pee in the same place because the smell says oh yes been here before, it's ok to do it here again. The biological wash removes the smell too but you can try lemon and water to wipe the areas after washing.

Once the smell is gone, you have to watch your dog for tells that he is about to do something and stop him before he even starts. Take him out to toilet several times and praise him when he goes in the right place.

Good luck, I hope it's nothing major.

  11. Go to www.dogwise.com  and do a  search for the word,  "housebreak".  Buy the book, "How to Housebreak Your Dog in 7 Days" by S. Kalstone.  I think it costs $7.99  You can have it air shipped to you so you will have it tomorrow or the next day.  It's a thin, easy to understand book and it is worth its weight in gold many times over.  If you unknowingly made any mistakes the first time you housebroke your dog, this will set you on he right path.  Within a week, you will be seeing clean, dry floors again.  As for the smell and stains, Nature's Miracle is one brand of odor neutralizer/cleaner that pet stores sell which is very good.

  12. If your dog is housetrained and you suddenly notice little puddles around your home, consult your veterinarian to make sure this is a behavioral issue and not a medical problem.
