  1. Do you mean he doesn't show much interest in the food? To make kibble a bit more palatable you could try:

    1. adding cheese or bacon bits to it.

    2. adding some water to bring out the flavor.

    3. adding some wet food to it.

    4. adding some dog food gravy.

You could also try out a different kibble. Orijen, Innova EVO, Wellness CORE, and Nature's Variety Instinct are all high protein, grain free kibble.

This site has some pros and cons on different dog diets:

  2. Eric O, I like the look of a german shepherd dog. They are so cute.

  3. I use to feed Royal Canin to my German Shepherd and she didn't do well on it I switched to Canidae All Stages and she loves it and looks great.

  4. I don't know what you mean by eating comfortably but maybe you could slowly switch his food.  Canidae, Wellness, Blue Buffalo and Innova are just some examples of other good foods.  If you are feeding only one meal a day, go to at least 2 meals daily so he's more comfortable.

  5. I'm not sure what you mean by not eating comfortably.  Check out the nutrition forums at http://germanshepherdworld.net/  Perhaps something there can help you?
