My dog has stiff fur on his back?

He's about 4 months now, and after we got him neutered, I've noticed a stiff patch of fur on his back.

We've brushed it a lot, have not given him a bath yet, (not until about 10 days after neuter), and it still there.

My father won't stop bothering me about it either.

Call your vet. advice over the phone is free, and he *is* the one that neutered your dog so he'd be the most familiar w/him.

My dog has stiff fur on her back too. She didn't when she was a puppy. It's most likely just his adult fur coming in. Most puppies have soft fur until they grow into there adult fur. Don't worry about it unless he starts to go bald or something.

what is the breed? it could be the start of his grown up fur, depending on the breed, alot of dogs fur changes as it grows if you can tell us at least what the primary breed is it would help, but it is probably his adult fur.

Ask your father if he thinks YOU made it happen!! I would call the vet and ask. He's the expert.
