hi i have a chow/shepard mixed dog. he is a year and a half old and is about 50 pounds. hes a good dog he eats well and exercises. but there is one thing: hes is CONSTANTLY whining and crying and i have no idea why. i play with him, feed him, take him outside all the time but whatever i do he still cries. especially at night when we go to bed, it keeps us up late. why does he do this all the time? what can i do to stop it?

  1. maybe somethings wrong with his teeth like my dog

  2. he's lonely or afraid of being abandoned. Try to put his bed in your room at night.

  3. look very closely, is there something that youve changed with him, maybe a change in a daily routine? or a loss of a persons life? or maybe hes missing his family?

  4. Maybe he has a stomach pain or something. Take him to the vet and get a check up before it's too late. One of my friends lost his dog the same way. He thought his dog cried because he was bored, and then he died puking. He had a bad liver. :(

  5. maybe he is trying to tell u something or he wants something that u aren't giving him. Maybe u keep him in a cage he might want to sleep with you. Dogs are like babies u have to treat them like so.

I have a 2 year old s***z tu he whines when I lock him in his cage at night because he wants to sleep with me, when he wants a toy or when he wants to go outside

  6. try to go to the vet. he might have a broken bone or his stomach might be upset. He might also be upset when you don't play with him, which could explain why he crys at night. If there isn't anything wrong with him then let him cry at night because he probably misses playing with you. If you don't wake up and hive him attention he might stop. I hope this helps!

  7. try adding another dog he could be lonely

  8. maybe he is in pain, get him checked out at the vet.

  9. something probably hurts. take him to the vet.

  10. he problaby has seperation anxiety if he plays around hes problaby not injured but just to be safe take him to the vet.

  11. my dog does that sometimes too.. we just got home from vacation . nd we had him in a good kennel plac. we got him home nd he started whining.. but still wagging his tail.. it think dogs r just werid

  12. Sounds like seperation anxiety, lots of dogs get this..you have to show him that whining/crying/barking will not work and you have to ignore him. good luck =)

  13. take him to the vet and have him checked out.
