My dog is constipated.?

Question

a lot of times my dog gets hold of table scraps

and shes a pug so they tend to be chubby,

but she got hold to many junk food items.

and now when i took her out to go she sqated and nothing..

i know she had to go because she looked at me helpless so.

what should i feed her i gave her a lot of water any suggestions

anything will do.

White Karo syrup works great. Let her l**k a teaspoon full right off the spoon. She will love it. Try to get her to drink more water if possible. If she drinks very little water, the Karo syrup in her water will help get her to drink more and "go" easier. A little can food mixed with her hard food will also help as it adds liquid to her diet. Do not use milk. It may help her go to the bathroom, but it will probably be diarrhea and a upset stomach.

feed her wet dog food, like what,s in a can. too much dry food will do that to a dog.

If you're sure, you can give your dog an e***a. They actually make suppositories for dogs. Ask the vet.

My Cat had the same problem take her to the vet he will give you a stool softner medicines If you want to help her at home let her drink milk and wet dog food!! ! Not DRY its gonna make it more constipated

Try to keep ALL people food out of her reach.  That can cause bad behavior and could make the dog sick.

I would call your vet and see what they recommend.

Take her to the vets it could be something more serious.

No more table scrapps.  Not good for dog.  Dry dog food only .  Milk bone for treat.

Set vet or vet web site about constipation.

Hi, I just wanted to tell you that in small dogs they have something called   rectal gland  most of the time when this happens they have to go to the vet and have it popped so they can use the bathroom ...but if your not sure if that's the problem you can always give her a fruit that she will eat or a juice that she would like to drink until its gone usually that loosens the stools
