My dog is 11 months old (chihuahua) I fed her chicken some chicken a while ago and took her out to play for a while, but then out of nowhere she started whining and crying I am starting to feel worried she hasn't been herself "/ she looks sad and when I try to make her feel good she just runs away and gets in a ball in the corner of my bed. I can't take her to the vet right now I am broke but I will ASAP as soon as I get my paycheck but as of right now what do you think she has?? I need help. Tears start rolling down my eyes when I hear her whine and cry it makes me feel like she is going to die x'[ HELP thanks in advance.

  1. Even if you can't afford it, it is your responsibility to get that dog to a vet.  If it is something serious, she could die before you get your paycheck.

  2. Your dog is either having an allergic reaction to the chicken which is unlikely and i hoped you would have checked for bones...actually she would be choking if their were bones....your dog will tell you whats wrong with her if you watch. Something may have even bit her while she was outside, it might not necessarily be the chicken, most dogs aren't allergic to chicken unless it had seasoning or some kind of preservative in the meat. You might see her looks at the spot where she is hurting, or l**k it if she was bit, if she is hot then you need to get her cooled down, dogs are like minature humans so anything you do to yourself to keep cool you can do with your dog but in small amounts. Most vets will let you pay later if you can't pay right away but they will ask for a valid phone number and address so they can remind you to pay. They are there to help animals not to make money off of them. But you need to take her to an emergency vet immediately the money thing isn't a problem they must look at her if you want your dog to survive. Their might not be something wrong with her, on the other hand their might be something seriously wrong, and the fact it was very sudden makes me worried. GOOD LUCK

  3. i have a chihuahua and she eats chicken all the time, it is her favorite and has never had no reaction to it. i think i would call my vet and see what they tell you. if her nose is hot and dry she is definitely running a fever

  4. put him/her to sleep. By that i mean put it down. By that i mean kill it

  5. you need to take her to a vet now, they will probably be able to help you out with a payment plan.

  6. I know you cannot afford a vet right now but maybe you could just call your vet and ask.  Or call an emergency vet.  They are ususally very nice and have advised me of things over the phone.  Worth a shot even if you can't take your dog.

  7. take her to emergency now if shes hot.

  8. You  can  offer  ice  chips.  Check if  gums  white/pale.  This is  infection  somewhere.  If you pull skin up and it does not spring  back it is  dehydrated. If  there  were  bones in chicken it may be in pain.  But if  entire  body  hot you can light  cool with  temp med water to cool down fever,  then  wrap up till dry. Dogs  can  take  Pepito same  as  child  dose. Watch  for  blood in stool.
