  1. Um your dog is in heat, go buy some special doggy panties and the pads, then get her fixed since you don't know anything about dams (female dogs) and by the way, I know that she's been in heat before since it happens about every six months, she would have had them since she was about 6 months of age.  Do NOT let any male dogs around her and keep changing the pads in the panties as needed.  You must have just gotten her for you to be freaking out over something so simple.

  2. Put B*itches Britches on her until you can get her spayed?

  3. she is 5 and has never come into heat before now?  I assume she has not been fixed?  I'd see your vet asap- this does not sound normal to me

  4. What? 5yrs old and just now going into her first heat cycle? I don't think thats correct...

Dog's don't have periods, they go into heat twice a year until they are fixed. Are you sure this is her first and she's 5 years old? That just doesnt sound normal

  5. Dogs don't have periods.  She is in season.

    Have her spayed.

  6. youre dog needs to get fixed. you have to take her to the vet. it will prevent her from being in heat and bleeding. and that will also prevent from getting  preagnant.

  7. They sell little doggie diapers.  Buy some and keep them on her until she stops.  Changing the pad in them when need be.

  8. didnt know a dog could have a period sure shes not just in heat or sumthing

  9. Get her doggie pads, keep her locked inside for a month and make an appointment with your vet to have her spayed.  Do not allow an unfixed male to get near her or you'll wind up with puppies.

Are you telling me she's 5 and she's not had a heat before now?

  10. Get her some doggy diapers, for real, she's in heat and its messy and doesn't smell too good either. Have you thought of getting her spayed, I've heard that it is good for older female to be spayed because they can start having issues with their reproductive organs as they age, my vet recommended it on a 6 year old rescue I had acquired but it was also obvious that she had had a litter or two.

  11. If she is 5 years old there could be 2 reasons. 1.) she has already been in heat (what you call period), and this is the first time you've noticed it, or he first time she's bled.

or 2.) there is something else wrong.

I'm going to guess the second one, becuase if she were 5 years old, chances are she would have already bled during her heat.

Get her to a vet, ASAP

  12. dogs don't have periods!!!

  13. Your dog is in heat! They don't have periods! You can get her fixed thats what you can do!
