Those symptoms sound like pain. It could be anything from a back injury to abdominal complications.

You need to take him to a vet immediately.

What breed is he?

Can you find any partially eaten toys or other unedible objects around your house? Is he eating and drinking okay? How about any vomiting or diarrhea?
