  1. If you think your dog was bit, why in the world would you be on your computer and not at the vet?

  2. The chance that groundhogs got close enough to your dog to bite it is slim. If your dog has been fully vaccinated, I wouldn't think that rabies is the cause. Dogs with rabies in the early stages show symptoms of tiredness, headaches, and fever. While in later stages it includes severe pain and violent movements. While Mites can be found by skin scrapings the best way to find out if your dog has worms is to bring in a fecal sample when you go to the vet. Skin scrapings should be done by the vet, as they know where to get them from as not to get a false reading.  Mites are commonly found first on the face of the animal around the eyes, mouth and then the forelimbs or paws and also is associated with hair loss. While minor cases of Mites can be treated with shampoos, Your dog might need an antibiotic if it develops a secondary infection. Mites are contagious to other animals, so please separate them and wash there bedding frequently while undergoing treatments. The best action is to get your animal to a vet!!

  3. It is unlikely that he has rabies. It's far more likely that he either has mange or an allergy of some type.

I would start by making sure you feed him a premium food, possibly a fish and potato base, that's less likely to flare food allergies.

He could also have a severe case of fleas or even a couple types of worms.

Please take your dog to the vet for a skin scraping so he has the potential to get better. It's too hard to say online what it could be.

  4. Well if your dog was vaccinated for the rabies virus then he probably do not have rabies.  the lose of hair could be some kind of skin allergy or it could even be the beginning of mange.  You should take him to the vet and have it looked at and treated before it gets really worse.

  5. Call the vet, they will know whats wrong with him.

  6. Uhm you should like go to the vet ASAP! aha
