10 ANSWERS

  1. Feed him grass not just dog food.

  2. You should bring him to the nearest animal shelter and surrender him to them. How incredibly unfair and selfish of you to own a dog that you can't afford to take care of, and now he is suffering. Put him up for adoption right away.

  3. why the h**l do people get pets if they cannot afford to go to the vet everybody that does that is very irresponsible and the only one that suffers is the pet! so now go get a dam loan and take him to a vet

  4. been there & donw that the other day. $230 I now owe to payback my boyfriend. You need to take him in. At the very least call & explain your situation. No reasonable vet wants an animal to suffer. Im sure a payment plan can be worked out or advice over the phone. Do it now before its too late if there is a serious problem. If that dog dies & you didnt get it medical attention you will be in hot water.

  5. I really don't know what you should do other than taking your dog to a vet or animal hospital immediately, but somehow I'm not enjoying my chicken salad sandwich quite as much now.

  6. I understand the lack of funds situation.  What I would recommend is to call some of your local vets and tell them the animals symptoms then explain that you can't afford to bring him in.  Then ask for some advise.  You may get someone that will help you.  Have you tried giving him grass?  You do need to make sure that it hasn't been treated with fertilizer though.

  7. go to carecredit and sign up for a card, payments are cheap.

  8. There is something really wrong with your dog that only a

professional  can take care off. Lots of Vets will charge you on a sliding scale rate. Or you can work out a monthly payment plan.

Please take him to the vet, ASAP please..

  9. Wow... there's a great reason for not taking your dog for medical attention that he needs!

Would you not take your child for medical care if s/he was vomiting white stuff and you had no insurance or money?

It's obvious (well, to me anyway), that if the "at home" remedies aren't working that he obviously needs "professional" care. If your dog it truly that ill, take him to the vet and work out a payment plan with them. Your other option is to release your dog to the ASPCA since you obviously can't afford him!

  10. You have to be careful.  Pepto-Bismal is something that can be given to dogs, and I would give my 25 lb dog about 1.5 tablespoons every four hours.  You shouldn't give it to them for more than three days at a time.  Then go to a bland liquid diet (chicken broth) for a day or so, transitioning to chicken broth with rice for a day or two, and finally transition back to food with a lot of liquid (such as moist dog food).  There is a high risk of death by dehydration, so look for dry nose, light tongue, weakness, fatigue, confusion, as signs of dehydration.  Dogs can die very quickly from dehydration (in a few days) during severe vomiting and diarrhea bouts.  Make sure you force feed clear liquids (you can even give him unflavored Pedialyte, but don't use it longer than 24 hours) if you suspect dehydration is a problem.  If the vomiting continues, BEG your local vet to please see your dog at reduced or no cost (pro bono), and you in turn will remain a loyal client for your dog's life.  You never know...it might work.  Good luck.
