  1. Mammals don't have fangs.  Possibly a squirrel.

You need to train your dog to leave animals alone.  All native wildlife are protected by law.  That includes protection from pets.  You are responsible for your dogs behavior.

Leave the wild to the wild.

  2. Sounds like a mole.

  3. Your description is too vague. It could be anything from a shrew to a fox. What is small to you (2 or 3 inches or 2 or 3 feet)? What color is the fur and is it all the same color? What shape is it's head, It's ears, and it's nose? Does it have a tail and if so is it long, short, fluffy, or skinny? More info please? Also please try to keep your dog from killing things. Jim carnivores have canine teeth also called fangs. It isn't a mole they have wide thick front legs and short back legs.

  4. WHY are you allowing your dog to do this?  Do you realize that domesticated dogs and cats take a "huge" toll of wild animals every year?  They are very detrimental to the wild animal populations and devastate the beneficial animals that help us and our environment.  They kill wild birds, moles, snakes, bats, rabbits, squirrels, chipmunks, forest mice, shrews, raccoons, etc, etc, etc.  It's truly a crime what domesticated pets can do.  The very animals that may be protecting you from harm by things like Mosquitoes,  Black Widow Spiders, disease-carrying Rats, etc, etc,  your pets may be killing off.

Please watch your dog.  Don't let him roam.  And, lock him up at night.
