  1. there maybe ticks back there, look and feel

  2. if you are talking about the actual a**s i would say that her anal gland sacs need to be drained (not an uncommon practice) the smell isn't that bad i was in there when they did it to my dog I didn't even notice but i guess it depends on how long you have let it go for.

if you mean just the back end of her tail she could have a dry patch or flea bites i would say its the anal sacs though so take her to the vet and have them do it its not expensive

  3. maybe she has fleas check with the vet

  4. There are a few things that could be causing her discomfort.  Fleas often stay near the base of the tail, she could be itching because of them.  Get her some frontline flea control.  Also, dogs have two scent glands located just inside their r****m that can sometimes get full and/or infected.  This can be very uncomfortable and could cause her to be biting.  This needs to be taken care of by a vet in case it is an infection.  She could also have a v***a infection or a urinary tract infection which also needs to be addressed by a vet.  Hope that helps

  5. Vet

  6. Fleas, ticks, dry skin, mange......see the vet.

  7. intestinal parasites like tape worm will cause a dog to do this. Or fleas! take her/him to the vet and don't waste your money on anything you can get at the pet store.... you will be wasting your money.

If you want to DIY it... check the stool for white pieces, which are egg and dead segments of tape worms and other parasites. Can be from the size of a grain of salt to the size of a piece of corn. depending on the parasite and the length of infestation.

  8. Like, in a nibbling way?

    She's probably just scratching herself.

    [Feet can't reach there O.O]

  9. nooo, all dogs do that... or at least mine does

  10. wash her asap..and it will go away... she has a flea spot on her fleas love..

  11. probably fleas

  12. Most likely she's just scratching herself.

  13. It sounds gross, but she may need her anal sacs emptied.  The vet or the groomer can do this.  (Or you could do it yourself if you read up on how, but I hear the smell is atrocious!)

  14. Probably fleas..Its not like they have hands to scratch themselves.
