  1. the solution is easy. dont take your dog to the vet, and deal with the guilt if he gets sicker. This is a chemical you are talking about, and some of those treatments can make the animal very sick. it all comes down to one thing..whats more important to you..the health of your loyal family pet...or money

Id be calling the vet for advice or going into the vets, not sitting on yahoo answers watching your dog being miserable.

  2. Try contacting Animal Poison Control. Some have a fee

animal poison control - Google Search   [www_google_com]

Also you can try this number 1-800-660-1842

  3. what brand of flea treatment are you using? BioSpot is killing cats and dogs everywhere, or making them sick. my dog got sick from their product, he didnt l**k it or anything but had a really bad reaction.

like someone said above, give them a bath with Dawn dish detergent, and if you have benadryl, give the dog a small dose based on their weight. (1 mg per pound)  it seems like he/she is fidgety because he/she might be really itchy from the product.

if the dog doesn't seem better in the morning, I would call the vet. and yes, it will cost money if you have to bring the dog in. but its a small price compared to what could happen if the dog is really sick..

  4. It sounds like your dog might possibly be allergic to the ingredient in the treatment.  Bathe him and see if that helps.  If not, call the vet.  They probably won't charge you anything just to ask a question.

  5. How long has this been going on? Are you sure he wasn't already doing a lot of this and your just now noticing? Read the label on the flea med. box there may be a warning, or a phone # you can call. People expect dogs to eat stuff they are not supposed so it probably isn't toxic for that reason. Plus dogs are much tougher than we give them credit for.

  6. Bath him really well in Dawn dish detergent.  And you're supposed to put the flea treatment between his shoulder blades where he can't l**k it.  That's right behind his head, between the 2 bones. Don't use the "Walmart" brand of flea medicine.  It paralyzed my mom's dog.  Use the good stuff  liek Frontline.

  7. I don't think that flea treatments are toxic to dogs, or else they wouldnt want you to put it where they can l**k it. It probably just left a horrible taste and texture in his mouth.  unless he starts being lethargic and having diarrhea I wouldn't worry.  Or you could call a 24/7 animal hospital and ask if it will make him sick.  But be aware... most 24/7 animal hospitals are more expensive than normal vets.
