  1. I have heard about the following recipe:

    Mix in a bucket

1 quart 3 percent hydrogen peroxide

    1/4 cup baking soda

    1 teaspoon liquid soap (Dawn)

Wear gloves so you won't smell like skunk. Wet the dog and put the mix on the dog - work it into the fur - leave it on for five to ten minutes  and then rinse thoroughly. You can do it a second time but do not keep the leftovers.  I'd love to know if it works - I've been lucky that my dogs haven't met a skunk yet.

  2. Skunk Off brand shampoo and dip, available at your local vet. you can drop the dog off for the day and they can take care of her there. it work great for our clients.

  3. you can get a special shampoo called DeSkunk at pet co or a tractor supply store its not called deskunk at tractor supply but it does say skunk on the bottle. our pit had the same thing happen i swear its been 3 years and it took us getting new carpet and furniture to FINALLY get the smell out

  4. try scope mouth wash it always works for us

  5. My dog was sprayed four years ago by a skunk. We tried tomato juice but, it didn't work. However, the hydrogen peroxide works very well follow this recipe and the smell will go away:

    1 quart of hydrogen peroxide

    1/4 cup baking soda

1 teaspoon of liquid dish detergent

mix together and apply for 5 minutes

    rinse and repeat

    best of luck

    THIS RECIPE DOES WORK!
