Ok, she's a dachshund, it's been a little journey the whole potty training process, it happened with my other dachshund as well, and it took us 6 months...he's fully potty trained now. Now, this one is ALMOST there, it had been a while since she went inside the house but today something happened...

I took her a few hours ago as usual, same time (they're fed on a schedule and the go out to potty at the same time everyday) she went and everything was fine. Me and hubby were watching TV with the both of them (she had never gone on us or the couch, actually she used to hide because she knows she gets in trouble) and all I was petting her as I always do, nothing special, and all of a sudden I feel this warmth in my feet and she had freaking peed all over my feet, bottom of my jeans and couch..AND A LOT! I remember she drank a lot of water before we went out but she also peed outside...she didn't act strange or anxious she just went right there where she was sitting...

WHAT IS THIS SUPPOSED TO MEAN?????

  1. aww poor baby! she sounds like a sweety. Just be careful when lifting her with her back doxies are notoroious for back problems. My doxie started to do that before he had a back injury. Dont let her jump on the furnature. They can easily injure thier back. My vet put my dog on steriods to tack down the swelling of the back discs. So what we did we lowered our bed so he could get up there and I put him in the room so he cant jump around while I am at work.

  2. It means you need to take her out more than you do.

When my dog drinks a lot of water, he has to go out a lot more.

  3. have you tried punishing your dog every time she goes inside? If not try that, but maybe she just couldn't hold it, and decided to go. Does she usually bark when she wants outside?

  4. it means you missed the opportunity of taking her out, lol!!! she had to go pee!!!!
