I need to know where I can get stuff if there is stuff that will make the hardwoodfloor scratch proof. If there is then where can I get it? Staples? Home-depo?

  1. okkies wood floor and dogs dont really mix. apart from having your dogs nails clipped regularly there really isnt much you can do. there are covering you can get but they get scratched too and look horrible. there is also hard wearing coatings you can put on your floorings which cost a fair bit and the house reeks for a while but they end up scratched too after a while depending if your dog is big and really marks up the floors. and yes soft nails are an option too but found they dont work. although the 2 things i swear by are rugs everywhere (makes the place look great too) and booties on my dogs. you can get these at big pet shops or online but get ones with grip or you dog will be slipping everywhere. i actually got ones for the snow and they work a treat. although your dog needs to get used to them. good luck

  2. dogs scratch the floor when they have an impression that somethings there snake, mice, spider ....

so get rid of them first and then go to bunnings.

  3. Yeah, home depo should have some gloss covering. You can actually get soft tip nails to put over your dogs nails too.  However, they do grow out and need to be trimmed just like dogs nails.
