  1. anal glands need extracting,,, just stop at the vet or at a groomers til you learn how to do it yourself

  2. Sounds like anal gland odor.  It may be they are getting full and could use expressing?  You might have a groomer or a vet tech at your vet's office check them and express them if needed.  They usually only charge $5-15 or so for the service.

  3. ANAL GLANDS - without doubt.  If you are unable to express them yourself, you vet will be absolutely delighted to do it for you - hahaha.

  4. Has she eaten a fish?

  5. Could be anal glands.

  6. dogs have scent glands at the base of their tails (its why they sniff each other back there).  That scent is usually the one they give off if they are really scared by something or just before a fight.   Its like a mix of musk and fish as you say.

I couldnt tell you why she is giving off that scent now... maybe she has an overactive scent gland.

Do you take her for walks outside where she can vent  ... males arent the only ones that mark their area

  7. hi, maybe its an anal gland problem or your dog has a infection in her womb? get the vet to check her out.
