My dog sounds like she has been crying ...?

It sounds like when a child cries very hard and then when they've almost finished they keep sniffing. She hasn't eaten anything unusual or gotten into anything. Do anyone know what this could be.

  1. Ah, she sounds really upset - or maybe it is an allegy to something and her nose is blocked?

  2. I have never seen that unless its a health problem. If its constant and you are concerned then please tank it to a vet asap. But depending on the dog It could just be normal if it greets you like that when you come home or is excited and then stops. Again if you are concerned a vet is your best bet. Or you could do like that movie old yeller, LOL just kidding. Good Luck.

  3. My dog sniffs a lot like that too. usually it's because she has been in the yard sniffing a bunch and she will get some grass or particles up her nose making her sniff it out. If it's somehting that she never stops then you should see a vet, but if it is only everyonce in a while she should be okay. Just try and watch what activity she last did and see if it might have caused the sniffing like maybe she was just outside or something. Good luck and I hope she gets better!

  4. Sounds like it might be allergies or a mild cold.  When in doubt, consult a vet.

I used to have a dog who sneezed when she was happy.  The happier she was, the more she sneezed, and she'd do it while her head was in your lap.  So you had this big thick "happy tail" going on one end, while the other end was getting huge snot-rockets all over you.  I loved her anyway. :-)

  5. that is sad. Pray for her!

  6. I would contact your vet, if this not a normal thing for your dog, it can signal a behavior change that is usually health related. Good luck,

  7. it sounds like reverse sneezing. its pretty common usually nothing to worry about my dog does it all the time i dont even hear it anymore. google reverse sneezing and see if the descriptions fit.
