My dog tore the latex finish off my door, How do I fix it. HELP!!?

So we live in an apartment and our dog got mad at us because we left him to grocery shopping. Within the 2 hours we were gone he chewed on the corner of the door removing the wall paper type veneer/finish off of part of the door. Now the wood is exposed and the rest of the door is white. How do I fix the door without it being obviouse to the landlord without having to replace the whole door? Because its not a painted on finish I don't think we can paint it without it being completely obviouse

I don't think you can... but if you come clean to the landlord and offer to pay to replace the door, you'll probably be alright with your security deposit. (Unless you're not supposed to have a dog in the apartment....?)

Get the door replaced.It sounds like a hollow core dore and they are cheap.
