  1. Will your grandfather be willing to write a letter attesting to your character and quality of service as a dog walker? Are there other adults -- teachers, clergy, neighbors, etc. -- willing to be listed as your references regarding your character and sense of responsibility?

Do your parents have renter's or homeowner's insurance? This is necessary in order for you to be covered in case something happens to you or your dog.

Create a flyer that notes all of the aforementioned. Make sure it is spelled correctly and the grammar is excellent. Then distribute this in your neighborhood.

  2. make sure you take out insurance or you will be liable if anything happens to someones dog

  3. you need to develop a good reputation and fast. Try hitting up your local radio station and getting them involved with promotion and sponsorship. design t-shirts for you and your volunteers so you look professional. Mabye you could also find a local celebrity or vet to join you. Whats the charity for? Is it the actual dog walking, or is the dog walking to raise money for a charity?. Either way, you should get the 'charity recipients' slogan on your tshirts and put up posters at the organisation!
