My dog is 4 months old. He hadn't been having accidents in the house at all, he'd go for days without one. Out of nowhere, he has been peeing constantly. It's also extremely fast pee if that means anything I mean the flow is like really fast. At first i thought it was excitement because he would only do it when we were playing or running, then he started doing it just sitting outside of my bedroom door or when we were about to go to bed (he did it right where he sleeps) I want to know if maybe he is sick, or is it normal for this to happen? I don't want to yell at him if he is sick and can't control.

P.S I also give him treats and praise when he pees outside but it doesn't help.

  1. Take him to the vet; but until you can you could give him cranberry juice.

I know it sounds weird but it works.

    Good luck!!!

  2. Sounds like a possible Urinary Tract Infection.  Call up your vet and see if you can bring in a urine sample to be tested.  You should still continue the potty training even if he does have a UTI.  This is the time when he will learn the most, so don't stop the training!

    Good luck!

  3. He's probably sick.  Maybe he has a Urinary Tract Infection.  Definitely bring him to the vet.

  4. No your dog is not sick.it just needs tobe trained

where it needs to go to do its business.

all you need to do is rub its noses in the

pee say No No take it out side in the grass

and say pee here ok. Good luck

  5. Have your vet check to see that he doesn't have a urinary tract or kidney infection.

A 4 month old is pretty young to be all that potty trained, he is going to have accidents, but this sounds as if he is having problems holding it - get him checked out.

  6. Sounds like it could be a bladder infection.

Take him to the vet and have him checked out.

It could be something more serious like kidney issues or diabetes. Don't take any chances.
