  1. There is a commercial on tv about Dr.Frank's Spray for Dogs.you put a few sprays in the drinking water and it supose to help dogs with all kinds of ailments Dr.Frank's Spray.com check out the website and see what all it is good for.good luck

  2. One of my guys was recently diagnosed with Lyme's. We discovered it after 3 days of being in my house, he wasn't able to sit with swelling. We thought he had been hit by a car or kicked. Once he was over the pneumonia and healthy enough for his neuter we did an x-ray of his rear hips and discovered rheumatoidarthritis and osteoporosis in an 18mo dog! Normal treatment is 2 weeks to a full month of Doxycycline, my guy is getting 200mg for a full month, we added joint supplements in this guys morning pills. Doggy massages help and if you have hydrotherapy pool in your area, that will help his joints, muscles and will aid in loosing weight. The best thing you can do for you dog is weight management. Ask your vet about Centrum Silver or equivalent multivitamins, and a good grain/corn free diet, either with glucosamine and chondroitin or find supplements. R&R will help alot during his recovery, I read dogs usually respond fairly quickly to treatment, a week into treatment my guy is already hopping over the baby-gates in the house.

addon: My guy loves his joint supplement alone then I put a dab of peanut butter with the doxy and multivitamins stuck in it. he thinks it's the greatest thing ever. Remember don't push him too hard these first few days and try to control your other guy, either walk them separately or make your other guy slow down for a block or two while you take your sick guy out.

  3. I would just keep giving the medication and making sure that she eats good, healthy food. And you will have to try and put up with the other two dogs not liking you to walk her by herself. It isn't right to make her walk fast when she isn't feeling well,so just walk her first and then come back for the other two.Lyme disease causes bad pain in the joints,so just let her walk at her own pace and not too far.

Edit: Yes,that would be better. Did the vet give her any pain medication? If not,ask him/her if you can give her a buffered aspirin 2 or 3 times a day. If she is taking doxycycline for the Lyme disease, buffered aspirin is safe to give with it,but ask your vet first. Also a product called Cosequin, that you get from your vet ,may help with the joint stiffness.Just call and ask tomorrow.Good luck and I hope she feels better soon.
