  1. She may be going slightly blind or def or it may just be that she's getting older. Many dogs in these conditions do not like dogs to jump at them and run around them a lot. She may feel threatened by dogs with dark faces especially if she is going blind, you can tell this by looking in her eyes and if they look foggy she has vision problems.

  2. Well that could be a past experience, like maybe something dark in color has been agresave toward her, or something in that nature, but the part about not likeing someone to jump at her is just instinct, no dogs like for someone to jump at them, and sometimes they will attack someone for that reason.

  3. Many dogs have problems with dogs with dark faces (unless they are a Rottie or a Lab or something similar themselves.)  See, usually a dog has darker markings around the lips, eyes and eyebrows in order to communicate more effectively.  With a dark breed, they often have no markings or a slightly lighter marking, and that can make their faces harder for the normal dog to read.  Add into it that the most popular dark-faced dogs (labs, dobermans, rotties...) tend to also have floppy ears (or cropped, which still have some problems) and there are communication gaps.  All it takes is one misunderstanding and a dog will often avoid dark-faced dogs.

I had it compared to me once like Michael Myers in Halloween the movie.  He wore that mask.  You couldn't read his face, it was just a mask.  It creeped people out.  Same thing with dogs and faces of all one color.  Dogs can also avoid dogs with an all white face like a Samoyed, or Labs of other colors.  It's just very hard to read their faces.

As for jumping at her... yeah, I wouldn't want to be jumped at.  But that's just me.
