My dog won't eat what could I do?

Question

I exercise my dog but she doesn't eat her meals anymore, she only drinks water. She just ignores her food, I don't feed her table food and I'm really worried that she's gonna get too thin.

Any suggestions??

Try to give her boiled chicken and rice.....I know its human food but even the vet will tell you to do this while she is acting like this. It is a bland diet and may not upset her tummy. Maybe thats why she refuses to eat something isnt agreein with her. I bet she will eat this though

When dogs don't eat it is either because they have an upset stomach or are in pain. Either way you should take him(her) to a vet as soon as possible (now would be good).

ive had bad experiences twice with this granted these were puppies one started that way got really lethargic and i tried everything and she stopped drinking water after a while i couldn't afford a vet and come to find out works killed her

my second almost died but i gave her wormer and no luck so gave her another booster and it worked if u can not afford the vet and she is young call local feed stores and ask for a 6 in 1  7 in 1 or 8 in booster 8 in one is best and a wormer called panacur -c or similar powder goes by weight but if you can afford a vet get her there

How long since she has eaten?  Is there any way she is getting food w/o your knowledge? Have you recently changed foods? Try tempting her with some moist cat food. Its stinkier then dog food and may tempt her. My vet had me try this when my dog wouldn't eat. Give your vet a call perhaps your dog needs a checkup to be sure all is well. Good Luck.

She will not allow herself to starve, and eventually eat what you give her, if she's healthy. However, if there is something pathological going on, you need to know now. Please take her to the vet to be checked. If all is okay, I recommend a high quality dog food, not the cheap grocery store stuff, that is made from materials rejected for consumption, you don't even want to know what's in there. Look for something with "human grade ingredients". A good quality food is not that much more expensive. You can find a decent one for about $1 a lb.

How long has she been not eating?  If it's only today, she just might not feel the greatest.  If it has been going on for more than a couple of days, take her to the vet and get a check-up.  When a dog doesn't eat that usually is a sign that something is wrong.

Have your vet do a thorough check her. He knows what sort of areas to examine based on her condition that you  tell him.

I wouldn't wait any longer before her condition gets worse before it gets better!
