My dog wont stop barking?

My dog won't stop barking!?" At first I just kept feeding him to shut him up, but that doesn't work anymore. I tried hitting him with a broom handle, and now he's really aggressive, even more than before. He's only 9 months old, so I don't want to put him to sleep. Are golden retrievers usually this bad?

OMG I CANT BELIEVE WHAT YOU ARE SAYING,no wonder dog is aggresive he is probably a nervous wreck,you dont deserve this dog you are going to ruin a excellent breed,rehome him for his sake and yours.
