Out of nowhere, my very docile puppy attacks my other puppy. I dont understand. It not like when they are play fighting...this was for real. I am not even sure where to begin? Has this happen to anyone before?

  1. Your docile dog is telling your other one to stay away.  You might want to have the vet check out your dog.  There might be a medical reason for her suddenly becoming snippy.

  2. dont interfere

  3. my dogs fight a lot too. i have one very dominant and other one not admitting the the dominant one is the boss!! dont stick your hands in there when they fight i made that mistake once. when mine fight, i usually tell mine not so dominant one to stop, and like a minute later she stops while the other one is still going, so then i just pull the other one off. as soon as you separate them put them in diff rooms, they will wanna fight again. also dogs are more fighty in the adolescent stage of their life. there are some tips you can get on how to break up a fight, just google dog fight. my method might not work for you.

    Hope this helped

    good luck

  4. It could have simply been your dog putting the puppy in its place.  As long as the dog hasn't injured the puppy or intentionally seeking it out  then it's probably nothing more than warnings telling the pup that he's not the alpha.
