  1. go to a vet asap if you cut it and you get the vein they can loose a lot of blood most pet stores and groomers will finish getting it off as well

  2. A good idea would be the vet straight away! Pet groomers will cut it but if it is close to the vein or bleeding please go to the vet!!!!!!!!

  3. take her to the vet!

  4. hi,

Some dogs need a nail trim every month or so; others can go for several months without little or no trimming, usually because they do a lot of walking and running on hard surfaces.

Without trimming, nails can quickly become ingrown or long enough to make walking uncomfortable. Long nails snag easily on carpet, upholstery, and even your clothes. Snags can lead to a tear, an injury that can be bloody as well as painful.

    here are some guidelines:

    hope this helps.

  5. The nail has broken off close to the blood supply in the foot and nail.  Therefore, the nail  is still hanging precariously has to be removed.

At any pet store, if comprehensive, has a product called 'Quik Stop" and this product is an instant healer.  Check the yellow pages for your area pet shops and, ring up and discuss this product or an equivalent.   All this is conditional on the fact that your dog will allow to cut off the the hanging nail.

If your dog normally has his or her nails clipped at the veterinarin, do take him to the vet.  I would never be without this product.

  6. do not cut it , there is a  vein running through everyone of a dogs claw. it will bleed profusely an cause your dog great pain. its like cutting your toe off, and that obviously wouldnt be good. wrap it if possible an put some wound gel on to stop any infection. then either consult your vet or groomer. or it may fall off naturally. good luck

  7. This happens to my dog's dewclaw some times.  She can take care of it herself.  Soon it will come all of the way off.

Use baking soda to help stop any bleeding.

  8. well let me cut your finger till it dangles and just leave it like that. Would you like that. Take the dog to the vet as soon as you can.
