  1. People go to the doctor to voice concerns, so what does he expect?

Just because you're 15 doesn't mean he should dismiss your concerns, what is the point of seeing him then? If you have legitimate health concerns he should investigate them.

Maybe he was being rude, but more importantly it doesn't sound like he was doing his job. Good luck, and I hope you feel better.

  2. I think he was wondering why a 15 year old had so many medical complaints and seemed to be preoccupied with their health at your age. He should have been a little nicer about it though.

  3. I think you need to go to an internist, yes, I think that is mean. Years of being in the medical field, I would say there is a problem. Are you eating right? Maybe you were not specific about your symptoms and he just blew you off,but he should not have treated you in that manner. If you go back to the doctor try this, Write everything down before you go that you can think to tell him and you can refer back to it.

  4. A little mean.  But, if he performed and/or used his medical expertise on you also, then he's probably just giving you his best 'common sense' advice & it might be worth following.  Sometimes when we stay to ourselves, we tend to focus & hone in on our problems.  Our minds may escalate a few aches & pains because we haven't anything else to take our attention off ourselves.  True, you May have something wrong--likely a sinus-related thing.  But here's what I find when I have a sinus infection--physical movement makes my head clear & changing your surroundings may help because you may be allergic to somthing in your home, your couch, your bed, chair, pillow, etc. that only shows up if your around it for long periods of time.

There ARE mean tyrant doctors.  I complained about mine because he was verbally abrupt w/ me when I was in horrible pain, he mis-read my MRI & therefore prescribed epidural after edpidural for me for a year when they couldn't stop the source of my pain.  Within a year, his contract was terminated, & his nurse filed a lawsuit against him.  There's a blog where others in the hospital compain about how abrasive & rude he was & they're glad he's gone. So he truly was horrible & finally got his comeuppance, but it took years because he was really brilliant & talented & named as one of the top neurosurgeons in the U.S.  You can't really fight the system.  Just follow his advice & see what happens.
