  1. Usually they go by TSH, but it is good that they are checking your t3 and t4 too.  www.about.com has some great thyroid information.


  2. If your doctor says your thyroid hormone levels are high, s/he must have also given the solution.

    There are anti-thyroid medicines. Yuor doctor will prescribe them, you take those and live a happy life. Only some people in some cases need their thyroid removed surgically. Don't worry yourself sick!

    I assume you are a young female. Young women have a higher tendency to have hyperthyroidism, or high thyroid hormone secretion. Relax. You're not alone.
