My dragon fish is a violet goby?

Question

is it ok to give my dragon fish cooked shrimp with shell and how do i feed it to him sence his eyes are tiny i bought at wal mart

I hope you have it in brackish water with sand at the bottom they are sand sifters, they like algae wafers and the clean gunk from the bottom of the tank, I have never seen mine eat shrimp just debris from the bottom and algae wafers.

well since you got it at walmart i'd give him a week. i hope you have a cycled brackish tank. i don't think he'll eat a huge cooked shrimp shell and all, it will probably just rot in his tank and make the water quality worse, i suggest feeding bloodworms or brine shrimp, let the food defrost in a shot glass full of tank water then suck it all up with a turkey baster and squirt it near your fish so he can find it.
