I want to buy a mustang GT someday. I might take drivers ed next month sometime. My grandpa can almost no longer drive because of his health and hes blind in one eye. My grandma was talking about putting their car in my moms name someday. I was thinking maybe it would be my car someday because my mom already mentioned drivers ed and thats when she said something to my mom about putting their car into her mom or something. The car is a 03 buick lesabre and is worth about 11 grand still, and only has about 30,000.

Maybe if I ever got it, I could sell it and get a nice used mustang? Im not worried about getting a car, im more focused on my permit first. And maybe a car when im 18 or later.

  1. think if it wasnt a good car to have they would have stop making them.... but think since 64 1/2 they have gotten nothing but better..... and theres only been a hand ful of not so good ones and most of them are off the roads now so its pretty much all out get what you can aford to and you will be in love a life time

  2. The car is a gas guzzler and by the time you could afford the insurance, you would probably not have enough money to fill the tank and would likely eat into your college money just to drive the stupid thing!

Gas is going up every day and you should be looking at a vehicle for transportation first.  I know it is your dream car, but trust me there are plenty of better cars around.  Porshe 911, Lamborghini, Maseratti, etc.    I bet you grandpa's buick lesabre would out perform a mustang as they handle lousy around curves.   If you are to buy a gas monster best get a corvette....better chick magnet than a mustang.

  3. Yeah I guess if you want it. There's a Mustang redesign coming in about 2010 (to rival the 2010 Camaro (see avatar)) so you can find a great deal on older Mustangs in about a year or two.

  4. There pretty good car's,,Ive only seen one major mechanical problem and that the rear diff,, But alot of ford cars have bad problems the the rear diff, along with the jeep's and chrysler products,,But in all they are great cars,, and run ok for  a litle 4.6,,the supercharged one run's realy well , and yes can be made to be alot faster,,,,But for me Im a chevrolet guy,, stock for stock  the camaro is faster , But it also has alitle bigger engine the the mustang,, But ford has always had the better body style and handle alot better in dry weather,, If I was  to get a mustang It would be a 95 modle with the 5.0 302 in it,, the motors are better built than the 4.6,, and can handle alot more abuse than the 4.6,, But it's all in what you prefer and what you plan on doing with the car,, they have plenty of power for a daily driver,,,Hope this helps

  5. your DREAM car? seriously man come on.

  6. insurance gonna kick u r a s s i checked for a 16 yr old for me um 15 its like 400 a month full coverage... can u handle a RWD car they are really easy to lose control

  7. As far as a good car goes it depends. A GT is okay seeing as it does have a good amount of horsepower and is rear wheel drive.

The 2003-2004 Cobras are undeniably the best Mustang made in 30 years. 390hp and 390ft/lbs of torque with the same transmission used on the Viper and Corvette!

Beyond that it gets even better with the 2008 Ford Shelby GT500KR with 540hp. Also you could send Shelby your 2007 GT500 and have it made into a "super snake" which has either 605hp and a warranty or 725+hp and no warranty.

  8. They are highly Overrated...  Insurance will be high...

  9. get a 2003 terminator cobra in my opinion its the best car ever made i love it. it comes stock with an eaton supercharger. They can be souped up and be fast as h**l
