  1. I'm a non-fiction reader.  I like nothing more than to read new ideas from an expert in a field that interests me.  I like archaeology, biblical archaeology, history, ancient cultures, sciences, philosophy, psychology, etc.

But what you really need the most is confidence in yourself, and patience to keep going even when publisher after publisher decline to publish it.  Patience to find that ONE publisher who is willing to take a risk on you.

    Luck to you!

  2. Know your stuff!

It's preconceived among people to think that being a writer is a fun and comfy job, working at home, at your own tempo, no boss on your back... But if someone wants to be a writer just for the sake of writing, they're bound to fail somewhere.

You need to have solid experience in a specific subject or domain. Whether you write fact or fiction you'll want to keep your reader's attention by giving enough detail that makes your writing realistic and immersive.

Once you have enough knowledge and material to want to write something, the task will come naturally to you. You can afterwards worry about the form and phrasing - perhaps get friends to review your work and tell you how you can adjust your style. Also join internet writing communities which provide easy feedback and great support for new authors.

I hope this helps, good luck!

  3. To become a good write, you must read a lot of books, In books you notice they have a very good detailed description on everything. I think most readers like Novels- Action Or Romance.
