I am confused and would like some input for all of you guys as to what you think I should do.

My dream is to become a pharmacist. It is too competitive in california so I am trying to choose schools where I can go straight from high school and complete everything in 6 years. The problem is that those schools are on the east coast like ny and boston. I love my family and I love my hometown and the weather here and cannot imagine adapting to snow! However, if I don't go I would have to work my butt off even harder here and it would take 8 years rather than 6, and I could risk even getting into grad school, but I would be with my family and the area I love. Basically, my dream or my family and hometown? Which would you rather have? Also, just to let you know I am scared to leave my family, (mainly my grandma becuase I love her so much) and not see them, so how often do you get to see your family if you are far off to college?

  1. I think you should follow your dream. A lot of people go out of state for college. You're growing up and you have to learn to let go and go after what you most desire and want in life. you'll still get to see them on holidays or even if you want to fly in for the weekends. It's always hard to move to a new place, but you never know you might end up liking it. and snow actually isn't that bad, it's actually really pretty and gives you a variety in the seasons:) My brother went to college out of state in New York and he loved it! he still comes to see us and we go to see him, but he's a lot happier because he's pursuing something that he really wants and is important to him.

Also, if you're worried about your grandma, call her every now and then just to see if she's alright.

Hope you go after your dream and become succesful!!

    good luck=]

  2. Well I can't pick for you b/c i don't know you but this is what I'd do.

My family is very important to me. The furthest away I live would be 2 hours max. So I'd stay in my home town. I'd still have me dream only I'd have to work for 2 more years but my family is totally worth it. But that's just what I'd do. I don't know you so I can't pick for you
