I have always heard, that when you sleep, you always dream, jsut that sometimes you dont remember them.

when I was younger I always dreamed and remember what they were. For the past couple years, i only remember about 1 dream a week or so, and by remember, usually i forget what they are about within 5 min of waking up.

I miss my dreams, no matter what happened in them, I always woke up invigorated, and ready to go.

another thing about my dreams...I know when im dreaming. I mean in my dreams, i know im dreaming, its weird, casue i still feel and believe as though everything is real, just that i KNOW that it is not, I watch over everyting kinda, almost as thought i was two bodies, one a brain, knowing that im sleeping and im dreaming, and the other my heart, feeling it way through the dream, and always thinking, maybe its that 1 in a google chance that it is real, I neeed to act upon it.

But my real questin is, how can i dream more? I miss them an awful lot.

  1. I to have begun to "forget" my dreams, and I attribute it to getting older and participating in more events. My thoughts are that as we get older, we stop remembering our dreams because our imagination is fading and we are "distracted" by so many other things. I rarely remember my dreams anymore. There really is no way to dream more, and I wish there was, because if all my dreams are alike, I wish I could remember more.

  2. I miss dreaming too. Well I never dream but when I do they are religious dreams. I have dreamed of seeing Angels and it actually healed me from depression. I dreamed I watched Jesus preach. But I never really dream about anything else, or maybe I just don't remember them. I wish I could have religious dreams more often.

  3. When people get older that tend to lose there imagination side. Which causes people to lost memory of the least importance.

Heck lot of people that are like in their 20 and up don't really care what they dream anymore. unless they are a spiritual kind of person.

  4. When you sleep at night there is 4 levels of sleep..I cant remember them...when you are sleeping but know whats going on around you...deep sleep where your soul is somewhat left you..and just before you wake up something like that...they say that when you wake up you may remember a dream but they are usually not relevant unless you remember them at the end of the day....I think you dont remember you dreams because you are healthy and you are content with you life at this point..they say if you want to dream about a particular think to think about it in a meditation before you go to sleep...I dont know if you have heard or believe in Sylvia brown but she has a book that is a great understanding of your dreams, there levels, and what they mean...her books are so interesting even if you are an optimist..there are questions we all have about ghost etc and she seems to have a real good understanding...i was surprised and shocked how she was on the money....sweet dreams

  5. You are what is called a "lucid dreamer". You can choose to participate and even change your dreams if they don't go well.

I have been one my whole life.  I have had some changes in medication and while I still alter my dreams, I have lost the ability to fly in them, which I did for 35 yrs.

Ambien and Lunesta will increase your ability to do this for a short while, and then you will start losing pieces. Stay away from sleep medication if possible.
