My due balance is negative on my phone bill....?

i have verizon residential.

i just moved - stayed with verizon, changed zip codes so it changed my house number.

i got a bill for my old number that was like $-2.13 or something and it said due July 29. (????)

Will this just credit to my new bill next month or what do i do with this?

I know I could just call but it's such a pain talking to customer service reps, and I figured I could check and see if it's happened to anyone else first.

Thanks so much....

  1. My Verizon residential account when I lived back east did transfer.  So I would assume if you didn't move too far way that yes the credit would transfer.

When I moved across country my Verizon wireless changed Verizon companies so my old cell phone bill did not transfer to my new account because the was a different Verizon company.

My suggestion, since it is a negative balance (probably due to a pro-rated service) and nothing is due, I would wait to see if it shows up on my next bill at my new residence and if it doesn't then call Verizon.

    Hope that helps.

  2. It will be a creidt on next months bill, you needn't do anything.

  3. Yep. Expect a credit against next month's invoice.

  4. It is a credit to your account.

  5. It Should "Adjust"...!!

  6. how are you going to pay a negative...YOU CANT, and its called a credit, therefore you have $2.13 credit towards your next bill.

  7. This is a credit on your account.  This may be due to an overbilling amount, or since you changed houses it is probably the credit from the portion of last month that you didn't use (Verizon bills one month ahead).

This will stay on your acount for the next months bill.  If you have a credit on your account when you end your service, then Verizon will send you a check approximately 6 weeks later for the credit.

  8. Yes, it should be a credit on your next bill.  You either paid too much last time, or ended (changed) your service early and they pro-rated back a day or two.
