  1. Unplug it and wait a few minutes. Plug it in and try it again.


  2. Depends how much you value it, or whether there's warranty on it...

    If you've got nothing to lose, a thin flat screwdriver blade might just be able to prise the front edge open. A less subtle method involves a heavy object striking the offending DVD player with a certain amount of force, which may work or it might just break it.

    A kinder way would be to take it to a workshop / superstore or send it back to manufacturer - but any of these ways will obviously cost money.

  3. There should be a (tiny) hole in the front.  Stick a pin in it and it should open for you.

  4. Take it to a circuit city or best buy and see if they can fix it.   Otherwise just keep hitting the open button.
