Do you have sound? Well lets say you do have sound otherwise how do you know the DVD is playing? So the audio connections are good, but the video connection is bad. Can you try to bypass the video RCA cables? Try using an S video cable along with what you are suing right now. This will eliminate any chance of the connections or video part of the cable is bad. This also takes away any chance there is an internal bad connection at the RCA connections. The first thing I look at is the connection for ay problem. Try this and it should take care of a lot. If all else fails go to rent a center and see if one of theirs works. If it does you know the DVD player is good. You can rent them for a day. If that does not work you will need to get a new TV.
