Could her be a girl? Because he's gaining lots of weight, and he has a little blood on his private parts. And there are some swollen nipples. Could my hamster be pregnant?

  1. Online I found possible reasons due to bleeding.

Some female hamsters bleed occasionally from the v****a for a day or two infrequently.  It is not a menstrual cycle, but it still can happen.  This is normal and is nothing to worry about.

If your guy is bleeding more than that, or it turns out that he really is a male, there's a chance he could have an infection, tumor, or wet tail, based on what I've seen online.  An infection can swiftly kill your hamster, so you should get to a vet immediately if the bleeding doesn't stop.

    Hope that helps!

  2. Boys are very easy to tell from girls. Boys have testicles.. big ones. Females do not. Either way, it could be wet tail, a stress related illness that hamsters get. It should go to the vet to get checked out. If it is wet tail, the vet will prescribe some antibiotics. Good luck, and get that hamburger to a vet.

  3. Hamsters do not have "periods" like humans do. They have estrus cycles and do not bleed. This can be a sign of a serious problem, and you should take him to a vet.

  4. sounds like it
