2 nights ago it was itchy so I scratched it and in started to hurt really badly inside. I just stuck my pointer finger inside both of my ears, and the ear that hurts feels like its blocking. I poured water in the ear and it wouldn't go down. It hurts very badly help!!!

  1. It sounds like you have an infection, but i dont think you're suppose to put water in there, i went to the doctor when i had an ear infection in both my ears, they didnt do anything jus look inside my ears and prescribed me two types of pills

one to reduce infection and the second one to knock me out and out me to sleep so i suggest you go to the doctor!!

  2. you have an infection going on in there, and if you don't want to suffer permanent deafness suggest you get yourself to a doctor today.

  3. no water or anything smaller than your elbow should go  in your ear. Sounds like an infection best to go see your doctor and get it checked out good luck x

  4. It is never a good idea to pour water or any other fluid into your ear. (I've done it myself, I'm just quoting what my doctors have said about it.)  If what you're saying is true and there is so much blockage in your ear that liquid can not pass it, then are you not having trouble hearing out of that ear?  If so then go to a doctor immediately!

Otherwise, you may wish to gauge the pain to determine the urgency needed.  Is it a 6+ (In which case you may wish to see a doctor) or is it a 4 and below? (Just keep reading.)

My initial guess is an ear pimple.  They hurt like you wouldn't believe and are almost impossible to pop, but they aren't dangerous in any way.  They will eventually dry up and go away on their own just like a normal pimple on your face.

As I continued to read, though, I believe what you have is called a Furuncle -- which is a swollen gathering of dead cells, bacteria and miscellaneous debris.  These form when the body is trying to fight an infection that has managed to get under your skin.  (Been scratching your inner ear with dirty finger-nails?)  The issue with this is that these rarely go away on their own without being drained by a doctor and cleaned regularly.  They pop after a while and if they are not cleaned properly with a que-tip dipped in hydrogen peroxide (or other antibacterial liquid appropriate for use on skin) they can spread quickly!  If you read further into the document referenced below, it also states that if it is not treated it can infect your blood stream and cause you to have a fever and become very sick.

Do not attempt to pop it, and if it continues to swell and the pain continues to grow, you must go to a doctor or risk further infection and possible damage to your ear drum.  I would go to a doctor anyway just to make sure.

  5. Its sounds like you have an infection! i have just got rid of one too, you should go see your doctor as soon as so the pain doesn't get any worse because you will regret not going if it does!!!
