I've gotten my ears pierced twice before. This is my third time I've gotten them pierced and they always get infected like this! I went to Wal-Mart to get them pierced each time with one of those piercing guns.. There is a small pus bubble forming right behind my right earlobe touching the back of the earring. It's really infected and almost sticks to the earring when I spin it. I've had them pieced for almost seven weeks and it just started to get infected.. It's also pretty painful. I thought third times the charm but I guess not! Has anyone experienced this stuff before and can tell me what to do? My other ear is fine so I'm assuming it's not the metal. I am wearing the gold/ diamond studs they got pierced with. I want to just clear up the infection if that is possible and not take them out! It's almost been long enough where I could change the earrings too. Please HELP!

  1. First off, you need to get that earing off... It's making the infection worse.... Besides, don't count on the fact that you've wore them for a certain period of time to make it ok. With the infection going on, the wound can't heal yet. So, if you wear them for 2 days or 2 months, it doesn't make any difference.

Second, you can use some medical peroxide to disinfect. If it doesn't immediately feel better, it means this infection is getting serious and you might need some antibiotics.

Third, some people are allergic to gold (like myself) and have to try different alloys. The earrings you are wearing aren't 100% gold. Gold is extremely soft and has to be mixed with other materials to be solid enough to be made into jewelry. Yellowish (standard) gold is mixed with copper and other metals... Copper intolerance is very frequent.

That's what I'm allergic to, anyway. I can only wear white-gold (which isn't mixed with copper). It's more expensive than yellow gold, but at least I can wear it. And I can wear Sterling Silver, but that's about it.
