My earphones to my cellphone arent working rite?

I have the T-mobile Dash, and with it are theese earphones, this would be probally my 3rd time buying a new pair.It seems like everytime i try toplay my music with them, one ear plug wont work,and i thnk their might be like a shortage or something, im tired of buying earphones over and aver agin, does anyone know how i can fix this problem.please

I think its because it doesn't support stereo thats why you can only hear out of one earphone
