  1. Have your doctor check for a fungal infection.  They sometimes crop up when your ears get wet, but are easy to treat.  a little antifungal twice a day.  It'll be better in a week.  (monistat, lotramin, etc)

  2. First off do not spin your jewelery if you are talking about a piercing. This will cause the discharge to get into the piercing that is trying to heal. Second, never use alcohol on your piercing clean it with salt water heated up. Discharge ( the crusty stuff) is happening because your piercing is trying to heal its self. It is completely normal no worries. just leave it alone and with the hot water mixture. If you got it pierced at Claire's or something like that they are old school, thats why they tell you told spin the jewelery , it is wrong and causes infection.

  3. Crusties are just dead skin cells being shed. Some people have more, some have less. This will last from a few weeks to a few months. I still get crusties on mine if I wear jewelry for a long period of time.

And stop moving your jewelry. Twisting the stud around can damage the skin, causing scar tissue build up. It also gives bacteria a chance to make a home of your piercing. Just leave it be until it heals. You can wipe the crusties away with a q-tip dipped in warm water.

Ps: don't clean it with peroxide! Just use sea salt and warm water.

  4. try to clean them with peroxide

  5. Crusting is part of the healing process, and should go on for the whole healing process. They wont get stuck, the sea salt solution takes the crusties out of your piercing.
