Can anyone clarify if this mean mailed by irs on that date or received by that day? I have heard both. Does anyone know for sure?

  1. You will get you check by Monday or Tuesday next week

  2. it means anytime before or on the 27th but not afterwards,so it means by the 27th for sure is when it'll be mailed by,so if they send it before the 27th then you may get it on the 27th,if they send it on the 27th then you'll get a few days later.

  3. Note that it will take the Postal Service a few days to deliver it after it is mailed, so if it is mailed according to the IRS schedule on 6/27, you may not get it until early in the week of 6/30.

Some rebate checks in a given SSN range go out earlier in the week, but there does not appear to be any recognizable pattern to predict which checks get mailed out earlier in the week.

  4. i havent got a letter yet let alone a check. i want my money

  5. Mine says the same thing but I won't expect it until early next week, because that is usually how things work.

  6. I think it means mailed by the IRS on that date. My letter said to expect payment on 6/13, and I didn't get it until the 16th.

  7. It's mailed by then - you'll probably get it the following week.

  8. you know what it means when you receive your stimulus rebate payment in the mail.

  9. All of the published dates are "mail by" dates.  The IRS will not guarantee a date of receipt because that is completely up to the Postal Service.  Expect your check to be in the mail by close of business on June 27.  You should receive it in 3-5 days but don't be surprised if it takes longer than that.
