My electric dryer smelt like lighter fluid & when I open it after a load a few months ago & stopped?

Yesterday, I opened it after a load and it smelt that way again, but I've done a few more loads and it didn't. It also seems to take well over an hour to dry towels, but normal on the rest. What's wrong with it?

Can't quite think where the lighter fluid smell might originate.  Check the vent pipes.  They often become partially plugged with lint and cleaning them will help the unit breathe and dry faster.
