My electric guitar has a strange rattle?

ok... heres the down low...

I have just removed my e sting (the small one) because it snapped off, but now since i have done so my d string makes a loudish rattle noise now that this has happend, its not realy notcible to others when played but it annoys me to heck... and yes it is tuned if you need to know...

It's a pretty good possibility that the action on your guitar is WAY low. this means at the base, right next to the hole where you plug it in (on a squire), where the strings end, you need to get a tiny allen wrench and raise up those things. when they're too low, it causes fret buzz. IF that's the problem anyways. Hope I could help.
