My email won't accept a Yahoo Group invitation?

Question

I have several gals trying to add me to private Yahoo Groups and they receive a message that says my email won't accept invitations or direct adds. What do I do?

If your mail is hotmail, I guess there is a problem with the mail. Contact Yahoo Customer Care:

This will take care of that problem:

Go to http://groups.yahoo.com/myprefs and sign in.

Under Options on the right side, click on "Edit" for the email address you want to edit to allow invites.

Under Group Invitations, select "Allow group moderators to invite me to their groups".

Click Save Changes.

The above steps can be used to allow group owners to Add you to their groups.  You would select "Allow group moderators to directly add me to their groups".  (If you are added to a group, you can only send and receive emails from the group.)

everse these steps and that'll take care of it- keep the block on the add tho, people add w/o permission all the time

this is a yahoo setting regardless of e-mail used, has nothing to do with hotmail
