Yesterday I took an exam for the post office & was worried about how I would do so I took 2 of my daughter's adhd pills (they were 18 mg). This was my first time ever doing this. I am now worried that I won't pass. I have been working for my employer for 5 years, do you think they will reconsider if I fail? Is it up to the owners or the general manager? I am a VERY dependable, on time worker.

  1. The interesting thing about this is, you're not a pharmacist and probably have minimal knowledge (apparent from your question here) of the drugs you were actually kiking from your daughter.

  2. It depends on what the medication you took is.  Not everything will show up on a drug screen.  Generally speaking, it is very unwise to take medications which have been prescribed for another person because you have no way of knowing how you will react to them.

  3. You should tell them, before they tell you.

You should tell them, before they tell you.

You should tell them, before they tell you.

    Really! I'm serious...

  4. It's a new ownership.  The new owner hasn't known you for 5 years.  They could interpret that as you getting away with doing drugs the past 5 years.  Was the medication Strattera?  I don't think that will show up in blood tests for amphetamines.  You may be in the clear.  It doesn't mean you should be taking your daughter's pills though.  If you think you have ADHD, see a doctor and get your own medication.  If you are taking it as a stimulant, well, you are probably wasting your money taking your daughter's pills.
