Even though I am giving a 2 week notice, my employer is still only paying me minimum wage until I leave. I make 12.50 an hour. I have been all over the us dep of labor site and nothing is stated regarding this. Is this legal?

  1. If he dropped you down from 12.50 to minimum wage just because you are quiting that is illegal

  2. As long as he's paying you at least minimum wage, you have no legal complaint.

  3. your employer can reduce your pay at any time as long as you are told before you actually work at the new rate. a reduction generally can not be made retroactive. all the employer is required to pay is at least minimum wage and the applicable overtime if the employer and position are covered by wage and hour laws (not all employers and/or jobs are).
