  1. Hi, I've only come across etsy.com recently - never heard of it before!  I checked out your account and I think what you're doing for charity is great.  However, unfortunately it won't raise much money.  Things like jewellery aren't great for raising money for charity but hey every little counts.  My suggestions would be to make your jewellery stand out a little more if you can.  I personally don't go for beaded jewellery ... I don't know why, maybe it's because I think "oh sure I could just make that myself instead of buying it".  I hope that doesn't sound mean or anything, it's just what I think.

Could you try working with wooden beads or shells (you can get them from most bead suppliers) or maybe try bringing in wool or hemp or other materials.  Just to make them stand out a bit more.  Or if there's a logo for a diabetes charity you're raising money for, try to incorporate the logo in.  Or some words or something - like I said, to make your jewellery stand out.

I think that you're selling jewellery for charity instead of personal gain though.

    Good luck.

  2. What you are selling is a tough market. I know its for a good cause but other companies do charity as well. Nothing exciting, fair prices. Also people like to know what charity you are giving to. You may give 100% but some charities keep 60% or higher and that wouldn't really be a good charity organization if that's the case and never deal with them (they are the ones that usually call you).

  3. I agree with everything already said.

I don't have that much feedback, just that my Father and several other family members have diabetes. Including a cousin with juvenile diabetes. So I think this is an amazing thing you are doing.

I would try to make some hemp jewelry. It's growing in popularity and is very easy to sell.

Good job, and Good luck! :-)

  4. Here are my impressions, in order of occurrence. I hope it doesn't sound too harsh. I am a successful internet crafter, so I know how to make money with crafts online.

First of all, Etsy does not advertise, so nobody shops there except the other crafters who sell there. Since you are raising money for charity, you will at least get a few of them, if you promote yourself on their message boards.

Your pictures are nice and clear but your backgrounds are dirty and there is hair on it.

On one of your bracelets, you say "It's sparkling glass beads complete its look." Take out the apostrophe in the first "it's" or clean up the sentence to say something like "Glass beads complete its sparkling look." "Expandable" is also misspelled.

You need more description. Go on about the process of designing the pieces, finding materials and and creating the finished works of art. Otherwise it just looks like you bought components  in a craft store and assembled them from someone else's design.

Make sure your description passes  the smirk test. What if someone does a search on "summer outfit"? Your aqua bracelet would be perfect but they will never see it because you put "any outfit". Make the description real. Nothing goes with EVERY outfit.

Good luck. I hope you earn lots of money for  diabetes.
