Even though she is my son's 'ex', she is the Mother of his daughter. We are very close, even though she is in another relationship, has moved on, and had a new son two days ago.

I want to get her something memorable.

Everyone is cool with our continued family ties...

  1. Weather everyone is cool with your ties or not, that is your grandbaby and you are grown.

  2. that's a hard question to answer without knowing anything about her. why don't you check to see if she has a registery

  3. It is right for you to buy something for the baby.  Even if you are not close, that baby is your Granddaughters brother!  Buy the same thing you would have gotten a niece or nephew.

  4. Why don't you send something from the florist.  I try and do something memorable, they usually have some nice new baby gifts.  Music boxes with plants, ect.

Don't forget the new big sister.  I try and send along something for them too.  Maybe a stuffed animal.

Usually the florist can really help you out with ideas.  The new big sisters always get excited about getting a delivery too.  When children are young I always bring them a little something so they aren't ignored.
